There are many informational resources available to learn how to combat weeds.  One of the most useful is a weed identification tool found at the Weed Research and Information Center.  The University of California Integrated Pest Management (UC IPM) website has a Weed Photo Gallery to help you identify your weeds.

Pest Management of Small Grains - Weeds is a section of the Small Grain Production Manual that specifically addresses weeds and weed control.

Encycloweedia is sponsored by the California Department of Food and Agriculture and has a photo gallery and data sheets for identification and management of noxious weeds found in California.
